A portion of "Oh' Say Little Dogies, Why?" was recorded in Portland, Oregon at Type Foundry in the summer of 2003, and partly at Studio B in Questa, New Mexico in the winter of 2003. Her music is a blend of country, folk and something else that's honeyed and echoey. Her voice and guitar are sometimes backed up by piano, drums, pedal steel, banjo, and lets not forget the sweet harmonies and back up singing. Shelley resides in Portland, Oregon.
